Good morning Karin, So far so good as they say. I’m really pleased to know that I’ll be back to Turkey next year. While I’ve only visited a couple of places briefly, I’m left with a very good impression of a prosperous, hard working, friendly country. Spent a short moment with a Syrian refugee family yesterday. Two young children, husband and wife. Keeping it together, looking for a way to manage the next dangerous step – crossing the Agean. I have fear for them.
Your descriptions and pictures of Istanbul have been fabulous! It reminds me even more that Turkey is still on my bucket list. Thanks for making the effort to post your blog even though it’s been tricky. Now to the adventures of cruising… it looks as though you’re off to a fine start!
